Free days out

Sounds like a myth but if you nowhere to look and prepare with a homemade packed lunch and drinks you can have a really nice day out with very little expenditure. you can find a lot of local events posted in local magazines forums, community centres. I will say you do need to be open to trying new things but when you get used to it you will find a lot of fun adventures as well as making fun memories with the children or finding a great hobby for yourself last year I did a free sewing course which taught me to use a sewing machine and given me confidence to try something else iv been eyeballing a local upcycling group

Where to find local listings 😀

  • I find quite a few events with a simple google search for example for me is visit Bristol there is an excellent selection on there free events page all over Bristol. From Japanese art exhibitions to Easter egg hunt at local community farms and a brilliant calmer llama trail. check your local visit site and take a look.
  • some local shopping centres will also have a events page too probably to entice shoppers but if you stay strong there is fun to be had.
  • Local children’s centres will usually have a list of local every too.
  • Playgroup more for the toddlers but it’s a great way to take them out for a couple of hours and socialise with other parents.

You never know what you might find some lovely things to do which don’t have to cost the earth happy searching xx
